About

Welcome to Luxe Fine Jewelry. Luxe is the culmination of over fifty years of combined jewelry experience of store owners Craig and Lezlie Slavens both GIA Graduate Gemologists in residence. We are a family run business and  bring a refreshing approach to the retail jewelry experience----to offer unique hand crafted pieces that aren't mass produced in a welcoming environment and provide our customers with the knowledge needed to make an educated purchase.  We have won numerous design awards including SIX AGTA Spectrum Awards with our custom one of a kind pieces.

Luxe is now featuring our fourteen year old sons, Nathan Benjamin Slavens jewelry collection. He has been hard at work handmaking a jewelry collection focusing on sterling silver, copper and bronze. The focus of the collection is to offer unique pieces at affordable price points and Nathan is donating the profits from the sales to local Fox Valley children's charities of his choice.

Meet the Designer

With over thirty years in the jewelry industry, Craig Slavens, started his career graduating from the Gemological Institute of America in 1990 where he was hired  to grade diamonds for their world renowned laboratory the GIA Gem Trade Laboratory. After ten years of grading diamonds the time had come to put all the grading knowledge to use and he was recruited by a Beverly Hills designer Alan Friedman aka the King of Pinks and was tasked with buying the rarest gems on Earth--Pink diamonds. After a year of buying these rare gems he started designing jewelry befitting of their rarity and sold these one of a kind pieces to elite jewelers around the country for the next several years. In 2006 a client approached him to move to Appleton, Wisconsin to create jewelry for their retail store. After six years of working for the retailer it was time for a change.  The change came in opening a by appointment custom design business in Northwest Arkansas. After a few years there was the opportunity to move back to Appleton and open a retail jewelry store. In 2018 the opportunity to renovate a historic building in downtown Neenah presented itself and here we are. With a career spanning over thirty years and SIX AGTA Spectrum national design awards Craig promises you will find it refreshing to shop in an unrushed, non-high pressure environment right in your own community with offerings that will rival "Big City" jewelers.
OUR

Craftsmanship

Our fine jewelry is crafted, one at a time, utilizing the art of old-world hand fabrication or ultra modern state of the art computer aided design technology. Each piece is comprised of only the finest precious metals skillfully fabricated by no fewer than at least three master craftsman. Our approach is a departure from any retail jeweler you are likely to encounter in Wisconsin let alone the rest of the country. We employ a team of master craftsmen in our workshops in California with specialized artisans that are masters of a specific discipline. These disciplines include precious metal fabrication, micro-pave setting, hand engraving, polishing, casting, etc. This is a huge departure from other jewelers who generally utilize an in-store bench jeweler, a single individual who must be a “jack of all trades”; a goldsmith, setter, engraver and polisher. The best analogy is we all have a general practitioner physician who is cable of diagnosing and treating our common ailments, however we wouldn’t seek them out to perform brain surgery. The in-store bench jeweler is a viable option for basic repairs and jewelry manufacturing but simply cannot produce the world class jewelry we offer using our specialized artisans. We invite you to come see for yourself our exacting standards of design and craftsmanship. The result is a collection unmatched in quality, value and style..
